Pikes Peak Storage, aka D and D RV Storage, was founded, operated and is still owned by the same family in Colorado Springs for almost 70 years.
Our operational concept is to offer safe and affordable storage on approximately 3 acres of land a few miles from downtown Colorado Springs. We also offer limited inside storage in a 50 foot by 60 foot building. We have on site management as well as 24 hour video and motion detecting surveillance for your security.
Our business started with the love of recreational vehicles starting around 1955. Back then, the founder of D and D Sales bought a small travel trailer, and later in 1960 a new VW window van bus with a sliding open top. Subsequently, the son and current owner bought a 1971 VW pop up top camper that the family took on numerous vacations. This led to the purchase of several other VW campers over the years. It didn’t stop there and the love of freedom recreational vehicles allowed grew into ownership of Class A, B, and C recreational vehicles such as Roadtreks, American Cruisers, Winnebagos, Holiday Ramblers and several travel trailers as well. I guess you could say the owner had a traveling bug.
Being a used vehicle dealer, the interest in RV’s led to the purchase and sales of many other recreational vehicles over the years. The business naturally evolved into D & D RV Storage and Sales. We have seen first hand the need for storage at an affordable price. Franchise fees, indoor climate control, high overhead create higher storage fees for the average consumer. Since D and D RV Storage doesn’t have those excess fees, we are able to pass these savings onto our customers.
Storage is also available for Boats, Heavy Equipment, Trailers, Trucks, Vehicles and other items a standard storage facility may not accommodate. We are conveniently located just a few miles from Downtown Colorado Springs with easy access off of Highway 24.
